Change Ubuntu Bootsplash
To change the Ubuntu Bootsplash when switching from Kubuntu to for example Ubuntu-Studio or Xubuntu try
sudo update-alternatives --config usplash-artwork.soAnd choose the desired bootsplash.
To update the bootloader do
sudo dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-`uname -r`
